Privacy Policy

Feedsnap is operated by Ellemsoft (Y-tunnus: 3602885-7), based in Finland. We take your privacy seriously and keep things simple.

What we collect

Your account

• Email and password to let you log in
• Instagram connection (OAuth token) to fetch your posts
• Billing info if you upgrade to Pro (processed by Stripe, we never see your full card number)

Your feed viewers

We track anonymous view counts per feed. That's it. We don't track individual visitors, don't set cookies, don't do fingerprinting, and don't collect any personal data from people viewing your feed.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data
• We don't use your photos for marketing
• We don't post to your Instagram or modify anything
• We don't track your website visitors
• We don't set cookies on the embed widget

How long we keep your data

• While your account is active — we keep your data to provide the service
• After deletion — your data is permanently deleted within 90 days
• Invoices — kept for 6 years (EU tax requirement)

Where your data is stored

Your feed data and account information are stored on our server in Germany (Hetzner). Some third-party services (email, payments) may process data in the USA under GDPR-compliant agreements.

We have Data Processing Agreements with each provider as required by GDPR.

Instagram data

• We use your OAuth token only to fetch your public posts
• We never share your token with third parties
• We never post or modify content on your behalf
• You can disconnect your Instagram at any time in your dashboard

When you connect Instagram, Meta also processes your data under their own privacy policy.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you're in the EU, you can:

• Access — ask what data we have about you
• Correct — fix mistakes in your data
• Delete — request full account and data deletion
• Export — download your data in a readable format
• Object — stop us processing your data for marketing

Cookies

Our embed widget does not set cookies. Our dashboard uses a session token stored in your browser's local storage (not a cookie). We don't use tracking cookies anywhere.

Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be emailed to you. Minor wording changes are posted here.
